What!? September already? Won’t you help?

Last Saturday was our Drop Off Day and we owe a huge thanks to Jim Rattigan and uber-volunteers Lucasz and Sam from NWC.  They made 4 stops in West Hartford and filled up the truck-and later the warehouse-with furniture and other household items for our clients.  Another round of applause to Todd Polley who staffed the warehouse during the Drop Off Day and managed to create a repair shop in one corner of the warehouse while waiting for donors to stop by.

Now that the warehouse inventory is back to normal, this weekend we are focusing on deliveries.  On Saturday, 9/10, starting at 10:00am from our warehouse located at 93 Talcott Rd., West Hartford, CT, we are making a delivery to a woman who was referred to us back in late June and who has finally found an apartment in Hartford.  We need a driver and 3-4 volunteers that can lift furniture to make this delivery happen.  Please let us know if you can give us a helping hand this Saturday.   The truck will be going out on two other deliveries Saturday afternoon thanks to Mike Fishman and a group of volunteers from Trinity College.   This Saturday is Trinity’s “Do It Day” and we will have a group from Trinity helping us out once again.  Thanks to Mike and the Bantams for helping improve the lives of two families.
