How can you help?
We are always seeking furniture and household items as mentioned on our wish list. If you would like to donate your new or gently used goods to A Hand Up, email us at firstname.lastname@example.org to arrange a drop-off or a pick-up of your donation. We have drop-off days at our warehouse at 93 Talcott Rd. twice a month (first Saturday and third Sunday of each month) when the warehouse is staffed by volunteers.
Able-bodied individuals can provide us with assistance in delivering goods to clients and in picking up large furniture donations throughout the Greater Hartford area. We also need volunteers to help sort and organize household items in our warehouse, staff the warehouse on drop-off days and to assist clients at the warehouse mid-week during pick-ups.
