  • Tuesday 1/8 – Rob as lead driver, and the futures student volunteers helped with two deliveries and 1 pick up!
  • Wednesday 1/9– Matt as lead driver, and the futures students helped with two deliveries and two pickups in the morning, then Todd and the team from the American School for the Deaf helped with one pick up in Farmington!
  • Thursday 1/10 – Alison and the Futures Students helped with pickups and a delivery.
  • Saturday 1/12 – Alan who was the lead driver with Harrison, Matt, Pat, Emily, and Paul for their help at the warehouse and then with two deliveries in Windsor and Windsor Locks.
  • Sunday 1/13 – Thank you to Sue Kayeum and Matt D. for their help delivering to one family out in Manchester.
You were all rockstars this week, especially when sticking it out in the cold!! Thank you for all of your help, whether just at the warehouse or helping with the deliveries and pickups too! We couldn’t do this without you!!

  • Monday 12/17– Rob and Alison did 2 deliveries and Todd used his magic to help organize at the warehouse!
  • Tuesday 12/18 – Alison, Rob, and the Futures Students helped with 2 pickups and 1 delivery, while Todd continued his magic in the afternoon putting together bed sets and making the warehouse more manageable to get items out to clients more efficiently!  
  • Wednesday 12/19 – Matt, Rob, and Alison did a clear out and demo day of pieces that had broken along the way of our deliveries!
  • Thursday 12/20 – Alison, Matt, Danny, and the Futures students helped with 3 pick ups, 2 deliveries, and a continuation of the clear out, organizing, and demo that needed to finish up to create a better more organized warehouse!
  • Saturday 12/22 – Michael was the driver with Tracy Johnston and her family of 16 volunteering to help organize at the warehouse, and do two deliveries complete with presents, Christmas trees, and furniture to finally make these apartments feel like home!
  • Sunday 12/16 – Alan for volunteering to drive, along with Kel, Dave, Matt, Adrian and family for helping with the heavy lifting for 2 deliveries and 1 pick up!

  • Wednesday 12/12 – Alison did some pickups in the AM, and Todd and the ASD crew did two deliveries in the afternoon!
  • Thursday 12/13 – Todd and Futures students did pickups and one delivery, Alison, Matt, and Danny did one pick up and some organizing!
  • Saturday 12/15 – Alison was the lead driver for the day and we had Gretchen, Rachel, Amy, Bella, Jenny, Jim, Pat, and Maggie, along with  Mary, her daughters, and some of the Conard High Girls Hockey Team helping with another home makeover that was a team effort with the client and her daughters (ages 11 and 12).
  • Sunday 12/16 – Thank you Jim for volunteering to drive, along with Peter, Dave, and Matt for helping with the heavy lifting for three pick ups! Also, a HUGE thank you to Sue Keating for all of her help organizing the linens at the warehouse, amazing work, our warehouse looks like a brand new space and our shelves are full to the brim with linens ready to go out to our clients in need!
We are so grateful for our volunteers year round, but this time of year makes it extra special when making over these apartments. Especially when thinking that some of our clients would be sleeping out in the cold without the help of our staff and community providers getting them into housing!

  • Sunday (12/16) – 12am – 3pm –  Pick up and Delivery day!! Driver and Volunteers Needed!! Please note the time change – we received a request from some volunteers to change the time for Sundays, so we are giving it a try! (2nd week at the time, 1st week didn’t pan out due to lack of driver).
